BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 29. Turkmenistan has received a new industrial inflow of natural gas from the Sherepli gas field located in the Mary region in the southeast of the country, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
Well No. 2 with a depth of 2,333 meters was drilled by specialists of the Turkmengazburawlayysh department of the Turkmengas State Concern.
As a result of the work done with the help of modern specialized machinery and gas-building mechanisms, an industrial inflow with a daily flow rate of 628,000 cubic meters of natural gas was obtained.
The main feature of the extracted gas from this well is its pure composition, without admixtures of hydrogen sulfide. This determines the high quality of the gas produced from the Sherepli gas field, in full compliance with international standards.
According to the plan developed by the state concern, the gas workers of the Turkmengazburawlayysh department are currently drilling wells at high rates at the Sherepli, Kelleli, Garabil gas fields located in the Mary region.
Turkmenistan ranks among the world's leading countries in terms of oil and gas reserves. Its gas reserves have increased by 126 billion cubic meters as a result of the industrial development of recently discovered gas fields.
