BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 18. State-owned enterprises of the Ahal region of Turkmenistan from January through March 2023 increased the manufacturing of industrial products by 9 percent compared to the first quarter of last year, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
This was announced by the head of the Ahal region Yazmuhammed Gurbanov at a government meeting held on April 15.
According to him, during the specified period, the volume of domestic trade turnover of the Ahal region amounted to 109.4 percent compared to the first quarter of 2022.
At the same time, Gurbanov reported on the results of the implementation of the plan for the development of investments within the framework of the National Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the transformation of the social and living conditions of the population of villages, towns, district cities and district centers for the period up to 2028, and also added that in accordance with this program, the construction of new housing and landscaping in the region continues.
At the meeting, the results of the government's work in the economic sphere for 3 months of 2023 were summed up, draft documents were considered and priority tasks of the socio-economic development of the country were discussed.
