BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 20. Livestock breeders of the Balkan region of Turkmenistan have received an offspring of sheep and goats at the level of 53,000 heads, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.

According to the information, in the current season, the plan to obtain the offspring of sheep and goats in the area was carried out in full.

To achieve this success, livestock farms of the Gyzylarbat district, Turkmenbashi district and Etrek district made a great contribution.

The current season in the Balkan region starts a little later than in other regions. For this reason, this campaign in the region ends in the second decade of April.

Furthermore, the number of camels raised in livestock farms in the Balkan region has reached 744.

Agriculture is an important part of Turkmenistan's economy. Work is being carried out to develop animal husbandry, increase the number of livestock, manufacture meat and dairy products, strengthen the feed base of the industry, and the improvement of local livestock enterprises continues.
