BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 2. The Lebap region in the east of Turkmenistan generated over 1.45 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity from January through April this year, Trend reports.
According to official data, the growth rate of electricity production in the region increased by 15.9 percent compared to the comparable period last year.
These indicators in the reporting period belong to the Lebap and Watan power stations and the Seydi Thermal Power Station.
Such high indicators make it possible to reliably supply industrial enterprises and settlements with electricity, as well as send a certain part of it abroad.
Countries such as Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, and Kyrgyzstan are among the consumers of electricity produced in the region.
