ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, November 14. Trade missions are one of the best opportunities to activate business contacts between companies from Slovakia and Turkmenistan, a source in the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic told Trend.
"One such mission was organized by the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic and the Union of Entrepreneurs and Industrialists of Turkmenistan. The business mission was focused on the fields of construction, medical technology, agriculture, engineering and logistics," said the source.
As for the interest in increasing mutual investments and developing trade partnerships with Turkmenistan, the Ministry said that the Slovak Republic is ready to welcome business delegations from Turkmenistan and is ready to organize appropriate meetings of business and government representatives to further strengthen economic ties between the two countries.
Furthermore, the Ministry noted that the tourism sector also creates a space for mutual acquaintance with both countries, in particular culture, and this also contributes to the expansion of business activities between Turkmenistan and Slovakia.
Meanwhile, at the end of June this year, Speaker of the Mejlis (Parliament) of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to Turkmenistan Viktor Boretsky discussed promising areas of bilateral cooperation, taking into account the priorities of state development in both countries.
