Joaquim Augusto de Lemos, appointed ambassador of Angola to Uzbekistan with residence in Moscow has presented his credentials to Uzbek Foreign Ministry on Wednesday. The credentials were addressed to Uzbek President Islam Karimov, the press service of the Foreign Ministry said.
To date, the leadership of Angola has not presented its diplomatic representatives in Uzbekistan.
During the meeting with the leadership Uzbek Foreign Ministry, the sides discussed issues of cooperation and expressed confidence that the appointment of the first ambassador of Angola to Uzbekistan will strengthen bilateral relations
The sides expressed willingness to work together on the regular exchange of information on export and import opportunities, market conditions, legal and other regulations governing the trade and investment policies.
They also exchanged views on the Uzbek-Angolan cooperation within international organizations.
