Uzbekistan will develop and introduce information systems that are integrated within the national information system for collecting, processing and storing information about the activity in the courts in 2013-14.
This work is envisaged by the order of the Cabinet of Ministers which approved the programme of introducing modern information and communication technologies in the work of the courts.
The programme will see the analysis of introducing and developing information and communication technologies, including on resources and systems, the number and quality of online services, as well as the qualified personnel in the field of information and communication technologies in the courts.
It is planned to provide court personnel with computer and office equipment, to create the local area networks in the central and regional court offices and to organise electronic litigation within the development of infrastructure for information and communication technologies.
Moreover, the decree of the government envisages the measures will increase the level of computer literacy and improve the skills of judges and court staff, including their certification for using modern computer and information and communication technologies.
The increased number of information resources and improved quality of online services will allow applications to the court with petitions and other documents in an electronic manner to exchange data and to interact effectively with legal and physical entities to publish the decisions of the economic courts.
They will be financed from the state budget, the Development Fund of the Courts and the Judicial Bodies, as well as grants and loans from international financial institutions and organisations and other sources not prohibited by law.
