China’s President Xi Jinping sent a letter to leadership of Uzbekistan, where he expressed hope for further development of bilateral cooperation in all spheres, said Uzbek Foreign Ministry’s press service.
In his letter, Xi Jinping on behalf of the Chinese government and the Chinese people, as well as on his own behalf, congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoev as he has been named as Uzbekistan’s acting president.
The Chinese side respects the choice of the Uzbek people, firmly supports the Uzbek side on its path of development and supports Uzbekistan in its efforts to play a major role in international and regional issues, noted Jinping.
Meanwhile, he pointed out that thanks to the joint efforts the bilateral cooperation is developing dynamically in all spheres over the recent years, and as a result, there are a number of important achievements.
He also added that he pays great attention to the development of the Chinese-Uzbek relations, and expressed willingness to enhance cooperation within international organizations.
