Uzbek Senate plenary session kicks off

The eighth plenary session of the Senate of the Uzbek Parliament has kicked off in Tashkent on Dec. 13, Trend correspondent reported from the session.
Discussion of the state budget, the program of creating workplaces and ensuring employment of the population for 2017 are on the agenda of the session.
In addition, the senators will consider a number of laws, including "On fighting corruption" and "On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of Uzbekistan in connection with adoption of main directions of tax and budget policy for 2017."
Sessions of the Uzbek Senate are held as deemed necessary, but not less than three times a year.
The bicameral parliament in Uzbekistan was formed in 2005.
