Kantar Research company to measure Uzbekistan’s television audience

Kantar Research company will measure Uzbekistan’s television audience.

The decision was made following the tender conducted by the National Media Council of Uzbekistan.

The current changes in the Uzbek media market are positively assessed by the international advertising agencies and advertisers.

The television audience measurement will stimulate the development of competition among television channels and therefore improve their content.

Today, the TV advertising market is represented by approximately 60 TV channels in Uzbekistan.

In the first two years, the measurement system will cover about 1,500 viewers in 400 families in cities with a population of more than 200,000 inhabitants. Special devices "people-meters" will be installed to fix the time and frequency of watching TV channels.
