The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan approved a program to optimize energy consumption in multi-story residential buildings for heating and cooling needs in all regions of the country by increasing the thermal protection of buildings and introducing energy-efficient technologies, Trend reports via regulation.gov.uz.
Renewable energy installations in 2020-2022 were also approved by the Cabinet. Also, it is envisaged to approve a program for installing energy-efficient solar systems for heating water in boiler houses of the republic.
According to the program, the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services jointly with the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan should provide development of standard projects to improve the thermal protection of multi-story residential buildings for the introduction of equipment for energy-saving technologies, including renewable energy sources.
The ministries should provide development of design estimates for the installation in 2021-2022 of energy-efficient solar systems for heating water in boiler houses.
It is also envisaged to ensure the examination of standard projects and design estimates for facilities.
