BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 7. The total portfolio of bank loans in Uzbekistan amounted to 327.1 trillion soums ($28.7 billion) from January through February 2022, Trend reports referring to the Uzbek Central Bank.
This indicator increased by 16.7 percent compared to the same period last year (280.2 trillion soums or $24.6 billion).
During this period, the loan portfolio of state-owned banks amounted to 279.2 trillion soums ($24.5 billion), and private banks – 47.9 trillion soums ($4.2 billion).
The volume of non-performing loans (NPL) for the corresponding period amounted to 17.2 trillion soums ($1.5 billion).
This figure increased by 2.19 times compared to the same period of 2021 (7.8 trillion soums or $689.8 million).
