BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 30. Uzbekistan intends to increase the competitiveness of air carriers and attract private investors to implement projects in the civil aviation field, Trend reports via the Uzbek Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade.

In this regard, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov met with a Turkish expert in the field of civil aviation, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Turkish Airlines Ilker Ayci.

From the Uzbek side, the leadership of the Ministry of Transport also took part in the meeting.

During the talks, the prospects for establishing cooperation in the civil aviation sector of Uzbekistan were discussed.

The Turkish side expressed readiness to assist in the introduction of advanced Turkish experience in the field of air transportation and increase the investment attractiveness of this area.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed interest in practical cooperation within the discussed areas of interaction.
