BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 12. South Korean Exim bank is working to expand cooperation with Uzbekistan in the healthcare sector,Trend reports via the Uzbek Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade.

The Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan held talks with representatives of the Exim bank to discuss the implementation of current projects in the healthcare sector.

In particular, the implementation of the projects “Creation of research and educational components of the innovative scientific and production pharmaceutical “Tashkent Pharma Park” cluster, “Construction of the National Cancer Center” and “Multi-profile medical clinic for adults” was considered.

An exchange of views took place on the prospects for the development of cooperation in various sectors of the economy.

Representatives of Eximbank, having considered a new list of promising initiatives for 2023-2025 prepared by the Uzbek side, announced their readiness to simplify procedures for the selection and joint implementation of projects.

As a result of the meeting, the parties reached an agreement on the systematic holding of negotiations on topical issues of current cooperation on a monthly basis and the continuation of joint work in all discussed areas.
