TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 14. Kazakhstan’s Magnum Cash&Carry retail chain plans to open 10 supermarkets in Uzbekistan in 2024, Trend reports.

The company's Supply Chain Director Michael Filippov said the company plans to open 10 more stores in 2024 in addition to the 7 existing ones.

The retailer opened its first stores in Uzbekistan in 2021. In 2023 Magnum Cash&Carry LLP acquired 100 percent of Majid Al Futtaim LLC Uzbekistan, the owner of the Carrefour supermarket chain in Uzbekistan. According to the terms of the deal, all Carrefour stores were to open under the Magnum brand.

The document signifying Magnum’s emergence on the Uzbek market was inked on September 13, 2021.

Magnum Cash&Carry has a network of more than 230 stores in Kazakhstan and ranks 7th among the top 50 largest private companies of Kazakhstan as of 2022.
