TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, January 9. Uzbekistan's JSC Almalyk Mining and Metallurgy Complex realized product exports worth $661.8 million in 2023; the forecast in this direction was fulfilled by 102.6 percent, Trend reports.
A total of 56,894 tons of copper products were exported. Also, 41,607 tons of zinc products were supplied to foreign consumers.
Molybdenum products were exported in the amount of 840 tons; lead concentrate was 22,728 tons; and copper sulfate was 5,045 tons.
In addition, the forecast targets for the export of rhenium, cadmium, tellurium, and palladium powder were met.
As of today, the enterprise's products are exported to more than
20 countries.
Moreover, the export geography is expanding year by year. In
particular, new markets for copper sulfate sales were developed in
2023 (Mexico and Finland). The export of these products is due to
the improvement of their quality, as well as the introduction of
appropriate quality certificates and their full compliance with
international standards.
Copper rod, which is a high-value-added product, was sold in the USA for $22.8 million.
