TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, February 26. Representatives of Uzbekistan and Russia discussed matters of establishing cooperation in agro-industrial sphere, Trend reports.

The discussion took place in an online dialogue on the topic "Uzbekistan and Russia - partners and agreements" organized by Uzbekistan's Consulate General in St. Petersburg together with the the Russian consulting firm Imexis LLC.

Representatives of the agricultural sector of Uzbekistan and Russia, such as Food Agro, Angor Fresh, Samarkand Evro Asia Textile, Aral See Acuaculture, BMB NRC Agrologistics Uzbekistan, Rustark, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of St. Petersburg, the Association of Customs Brokers of Uzbekistan and Hermes professional guild took part in the online meeting.

During the meeting they familiarized with the potential and production capabilities of the companies, as well as supplying products grown in Uzbekistan to the Russian market.

Representatives of the Consulate General expressed interest in establishing friendly and mutually beneficial economic relations aimed at further strengthening trade and economic partnership between the two countries, and expressed readiness to comprehensively support business representatives of both countries.

The parties received detailed answers to all their questions and agreed to cooperate in establishing partnership relations and solving possible problems.

Meanwhile, foreign trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Russia amounted to $766.7 million in January 2024.
