Iran will hold a military parade timed to the Holy Defence week. The parade will be attended by Iranian armed forces’ all units, Sepah Corps’ forces, air force and infantry, Iranian FARS news agency reported.

Iran will hold a military parade timed to the Holy Defence week. The parade will be attended by Iranian armed forces' all units, Sepah Corps' forces, air force and infantry, Iranian FARS news agency reported.

Holy Defence week is celebrated in Iran annually in memory of the Iran-Iraq war. Military parades with the demonstration of military equipment are held on these days in Tehran and other cities of the country.

Iran-Iraq war began n Sept. 22, 1980 with the Iraqi Army's attack on the Iranian province of Khuzistan. The war ended with the conclusion of a ceasefire agreement on August 1988, the border between the two countries remained unchanged.

According to the Commander of the Iranian Military Air Forces Hasan Shahsefi, the parade will demonstrate fighters, cargo planes and aircraft petrol carriers.

On the same day the Air Forces' new achievements will be demonstrated.
