The United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned in the strongest possible terms the terrorist bombing in Chabahar, Iran, which has reportedly left scores of people dead and many more injured, IRNA reported.
According to a statement issued at UN Headquarters in New York on December 15, he was shocked and dismayed by this abhorrent terrorist act directed at mourners commemorating the Holy Day of Ashura.
The secretary-general conveyed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and to the government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran, a press release issued by the UN Information Center (UNIC) said here on Sunday.
