The Fifth International Symposium on Advances in Science and Technology is scheduled to be held in the holy city of Mashhad from May 12 to 17, 2011. Iran Daily reported with reference to Fars News Agency .
The conference is aimed at discussing scientific and research activities in the fields of new technologies, architecture, urban planning, computer, electronics and civil engineering.
Nanotechnology and micro electro-mechanical devices are also among issues on the symposium's agenda.
Educational workshops, with the presence of lecturers from other countries, and an exhibition to display industrial and research achievements will be held on the sidelines of the symposium.
Lecturers from the universities of Canada, Australia, Malaysia, India and the American Technology Institute will deliver speeches in the symposium.
The papers will be presented in English, and interpretation facilities will also be available. The articles should be submitted in English.
Four symposiums have so far been held in Mashhad at the regional and national levels.
