Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Azerbaijan disclosed

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 8. Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Azerbaijan amounted to 63,400 tons worth $34.8 million in the 1st month of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through April 19, 2024), the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration said, Trend reports.

Data shows that compared to the same month in the previous year (March 21–April 20, 2023), Iran's trade turnover with Azerbaijan fell 5.87 percent in value terms but rose 9.3 percent in weight terms.

Statistics indicate that in the same month of last year, Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Azerbaijan amounted to 58,000 tons worth $37 million.

The information shows that rubber materials, agricultural and food products, petrochemical products, industrial products, and other goods were exchanged between Iran and Azerbaijan during the mentioned period.

During the first month, Iran's non-oil trade turnover amounted to $5.91 billion. The turnover decreased by 12 percent compared to the same month last year.

To note, Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Azerbaijan in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024) amounted to about 797,000 tons worth more than $671 million. Compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2022, through March 20, 2023), Iran's trade turnover with Azerbaijan decreased by 2.4 percent in value terms and increased by 1.6 percent in weight terms.
