Over 80 percent of funding for running the government will go to the government employees' salaries in next fiscal year (March 2016-2017).

The salaries are planed to be increased by 12 percent in the next year budget, Iran's ISNA news agency reported Dec. 29 citing informed sources.

Based on Iran's fifth five-year economic development plan (2010-2015) the salaries of civil servants should be increased proportional to the inflation rate.

The Iranian government is expected to present the budget bill to the parliament within the next two weeks.

Oil revenues are forecasted to share 660 trillion rials (about $22 billion) from 2.67 quadrillion rials ($89 billion) of total incomes in the budget bill.

Tax revenues also are expected to account for 850 trillion rials of the country's total budget in the next fiscal year.
