Iran increased raw gas production capacity to 793.7 million cubic meters per day (mcm/d) in the last fiscal year that ended on March 21.
According to an Oil Ministry report, obtained by Trend June 13, the figure was around 581 mcm/d in August 2013, when President Hassan Rouhani took office.
During this period, Iran's raw gas production increased from 235.5 mcm/d to 404.6 mcm/d, the report said.
The country also refined about 175.8 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas during the last fiscal year, of which 8.57 bcm was exported to Turkey and Armenia.
The report didn't reveal the gas import statistics, but according to BP's reports, Iran imported about 7.5 bcm from Turkmenistan in 2015.
BP put the commercial gas production of Iran in 2015 at 192.5 bcm.
