The Islamic Republic of Iran exported over 11.021 million tons of mineral products, valued at $499 million, during the first five months of the current fiscal year (March 20- Aug. 21, 2016), according to the latest statistics released by the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran.
According to the statistics, the volume of the country’s mineral exports in the five-month period increased by 62 percent year-on-year.
This is while the value of the same products has surged by 55 percent.
Mineral products shared 2.7 percent of the Islamic Republic's total exports in terms of value.
Iran's total non-oil exports (including the gas condensate) stood at $19.108 billion in the first five months of the current fiscal year, which indicates a 10-percent increase.
