Japan’s oil import from Iran in June decreased by nearly half in volume, in comparison with previous year, totaling at 643,093 kiloliters/month or 134,831 barrels/day.
Trade and Industry, according to monthly statistics of the Ministry of Economy, indicates that figures for May and June of 2016 were at 791,296 kl and 1,312,758 kl respectively.
Iran’s oil export shared at 4.8 percent of Japan’s total imports in June. Comparative figure in June of 2016 was at 8.8 percent.
Japan decreased both crude oil and gas condensate imports from Iran.
During last month, Japan imported 161,811 kl of gas condensate from Iran. Correlating figure for June of 2016 was 340,823 kl.
Japan is Iran’s third biggest oil client after China and India.
