Iranian government’s total revenues stood at 469.6 trillion rials ($13.74 billion, based on official rate of 34,179 rials per each USD) during first five months of the current fiscal year (March 20-Aug. 22) Central Bank of Iran (CBI) said in its latest monthly report released Oct. 14.
Meanwhile, over 739.3 trillion rials of revenues were envisaged in the national budget for the mentioned period, which means that the government revenues were materialized by 63.5 percent.
Total revenues of the Iranian government registered a fall by 0.5 percent during the 5-month period, year-on-year.
Iran’s tax revenues amounted to 367.5 trillion rials in the period, registering a 3.2 percent increase compared to the same period of the preceding year.
About 74.3 percent of the tax revenues envisaged by the national budget bill (494.5 trillion rials) have been realized during the 5-month period, according to the CBI.
The government spending amounted to 893.9 trillion rials in the period, 15.1 percent more compared to the first five months of the last fiscal year (March 20-Aug. 22, 2016).
Iran experienced a negative operating budgetary balance by 470 trillion rials, 45 percent more compared to the same period of last preceding year(-322.5 trillion rials).
