Iran offers various chemicals through mercantile exchange

Over 72,000 tons of bitumen‎ was offered in Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Nov. 8, the IME official website reported.

Also 54,500 tons of various chemicals, including sulfur of polymers were offered in the oil and petrochemicals trading sector of the IME on the same day.

According to the report, 1,082 tons of rebar basket, 301 tons of rebar from Esfahan Steel Co.‎, and 10 kilograms of gold bullion from Mouteh gold mine were offered in the industrial and minerals trading sector of the IME.

At least 50 Cerato model passenger cars were also offered in the sector.

In the agricultural sector, 100 tons of imported rice, 114,000 live chickens, 23,000 tons of wheat, 1,100 tons of sugar as well as 68 tons of frozen chicken were offered.

Also 179 tons of metal scrap, empty barrels, used locomotive engine oil, a single-wall polyethylene pipe and a foamed polyethylene tank were offered in the IME on Nov. 8.

The IME was founded in 2007. It trades in agricultural, industrial and petrochemical products in spot and futures markets.

There are 70 listed brokerage companies in IME who are members of the exchange licensed by the market regulator, the Securities and Exchange Organization.
