Customers can pay for oil in rials in the Iran energy exchange, head of the Iranian parliament's economic commission Mohammad Reza Pourebrahimi said.
Some Iranian ambassadors have held several meetings with executive director and members of the National Iranian Oil Company in the energy exchange last month and the agreements were signed to sell oil through the stock exchange, Trend reports.
Earlier, customers had problems with the payment of money. Fortunately, the Supreme Economic Coordination Council allowed paying for oil in rials, Pourebrahimi said.
The sale of crude oil on the energy exchange is new experience, he added.
If the National Iranian Oil Company and the Oil Ministry announce their readiness, this week oil will be put up for sale. Otherwise, oil will be put up for sale in coming weeks, Pourebrahimi said.
