Iran employs more than 33,000 people in industry, mining and trade

About 33,300 people have been employed in Iran's industry, mining and software development over the past 3 months, Trend reports referring to Shata News Agency.

The workplace statistics have been prepared based on projects licensed over the past 3 months.

About 30,600 people have gained employment in the industrial sector, with 1,715 in the mining sector and 1,969 in software development field.

Also, 13 licenses have been issued for software development over the past 3 months, with 13 more having been extended.

As to mining licenses, 289 discovery operations and 1,396 exploitation projects have been licensed. 160 discovery operations with a total reserve of 14.5 million tons were carried out.

Moreover, 133,700 enterprises were created during the mentioned period, with 25,100 production enterprises, 66,200 distribution enterprises, 19,500 service enterprises, and 22,800 technical enterprises being established.

Additionally, 1,920 commercial ID cards were issued, with 5,341 cards having been extended.

Licenses were issued for 7,375 projects worth 6.94 trillion rials (app. $165 million) in the industrial sector. As such, this will enable the employment of more than 162,000 people.
