Iran discloses volume of goods exported through Mazandaran province

The volume of the products exported through the customs service of Iran’s northern Mazandaran province increased by 62 percent during three months (March 21 – June 21) of this Iranian year (started on March 21, 2019), Ali Yusifimanesh, director of Mazandaran Customs Administration, said.

Some 317,000 tons of products worth $66.1 million were exported within three months, Yusifimanesh added, Trend reports referring to IRNA.

"Among the main products exported through the customs during the reporting period were dairy products worth $34.8 million, ice cream worth $9.97 million, cement worth $5.16 million, rubber products worth $3.83 million and paper worth $1.67 million," he said.

According to Yusifimanesh, the products were exported to Iraq, Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates through Iran’s Noshahr, Amirabad, Amol, Sari and Firudinkanar customs services.

He said that 976,000 tons of products worth $320.7 million were imported from 20 countries to Iran through the customs service of Mazandaran province.

"The import volume of products decreased by 17 percent and import value decreased by 40 percent during three months of this Iranian year compared to the same period of last Iranian year, "Yusifimanesh said.

"Among the main imported products were barley worth $113.8 million, feed corn worth $99.7 million, animal oils worth $78.1 million, electric devices worth $5.85 million and vegetable oil worth $4.7 million," he added. "The products were mainly imported from Russia, Germany, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Switzerland."

The goods worth $581,000 were transited to Pakistan and Iraq during the reporting period, he said.
