The head of Iranian parliament's economic commission Mohammad Reza Pourabrahimi emphasized the need to manage the cryptocurrencies in the country, Trend reports citing Tasnim News Agency.
"Whether we like it or not, the cryptocurrency sector is a platform for investors,” Pourabrahimi said.
“Regardless of the state of the country's capital market, we should pay special attention to cryptocurrency,” he said.
The current poor situation of the stock exchange has caused some people to move towards the cryptocurrency market, said the official.
While calling the investing in cryptocurrency market, very risky, he noted the need to manage cryptocurrency field in the country overall.
“The Economic Commission believed that a set of agencies must make decisions regarding the transparency of the cryptocurrency sector," Pourabrahimi said.
Stating that the capacity of cryptocurrencies should be used, he said that one of the capacities of cryptocurrencies is to use them during the sanctions.
