A total of 178 process industrial units in the agricultural sector has been established in the last eight years, the Director General of the Equipping and Developing Infrastructure Department of the Central Organization for Rural Cooperatives (CORC) of Iran said.
During the last eight years, in addition to the implementation of more than 1,400 projects, 297 sets of storage facilities (including warehouses, Cold storage and silos) with a capacity of 343,000 tons, have been established, Amirreza Ansari Manesh said, Trend reports citing IRNA.
He went on to announce the inauguration of three projects of "Village Bazaar" and cold storage during the agricultural jihad week.
Referring to the operational plans of CORC, he said that strengthening and developing infrastructure should be a priority in the policies of the Organization.
According to IRNA, 145 village bazaars were established in the country during the last 8 years and are expected to reach 250 by the end of the current Iranian year (ends on March 21, 2022).
