Iranian president says the World has recognized Iran’s nuclear right.
During a speech in 38th anniversary of Islamic revolution, Hassan Rouhani said that currently the wheels of both centrifuges and economy are turning.
“Currently we uses IR8 type centrifuges instead of IR6, while for the first time after Islamic Revolution in 1979, Iran is importing yellow cake. On the other hand, we achieved economic progress after the nuclear deal,” he said, Mehr reported Feb.10.
Rouhani said that during last months Iran imported 350 tons of uranium and yellow cake.
He also added that Iran increased its oil production by 1 million barrels per day after nuclear deal, implemented in January 2016 and resumed the output level to the pre-sanctions level.
Iranian president also said that Iran’s GDP went from 6.8 percent in 2013 to 7.4 percent growth currently, while inflation rate decreased from 40 percent to 8 percent.
He also added that Iran’s gas production from South Pars gas field increased from 250 million cubic meters per day (mcm/d) in 2013 to 500 mcm/d currently and the volume would reach 560 mcm/d by summer.
Coming to trade turnover, Rouhani said that Iran’s had $20 billion worth of negative non-oil foreign trade balance before his presidency (2013), but currently the country enjoys a positive balance worth $900 million.
“The country’s agriculture production increased from 97 million tons in 2013 to 118 million tons currently,” he said, adding that the foreign trade balance in agriculture products was negative $8 billion, but the figure decreased by $2 billion during last three years.
