Georgian Side Prepared to Co-operate with International Investigation Commission: Speaker of Parliament

Georgia, Tbilisi, 28 October /corr. Trend N.Kirtskhalia / The Georgian side is prepared to co-operate with the International Commission for Study of August events. Already on 17 August, the President of Georgia expressed preparedness to co-operate with such a commission, the speaker of Parliament of Georgia, David Bakradze, said.

"We did not wait the development of events, and began internal investigation. At any moment, when the international community will be prepared, we will begin to co-operate with it," he said, adding that in the international commission will have the possibility to use the materials, collected by the temporary parliamentary commission for the study of August events.


He said that the only factor, which prevents co-operation with the international commission, is the position of Russia.

The initiative to establish a special commission was made today by the Foreign Minister of France, Bernard Kushner.
