The second meeting of the EU-Georgia subcommittee on transport, energy and environment was held. The Foreign Ministry of Georgia stated that the subcommittee is one of the formats of political dialogue between Georgia and the EU, which was established a year ago.

Co-chairs of the subcommittee were from Georgia - Director of European Integration Department of Ministry Tea Akhvlediani, and from the EU - the head of the bilateral management of the "Eastern Partnership" of European External Action Service John Kear.

At the meeting, the sides discussed in detail the reforms undertaken in the field of transport, energy and environment of Georgia, and the main directions of development, as well as the dynamics of relations between Georgia and the EU within these sectors and directions for future cooperation in these spheres. Attention was also paid to the issues of regional cooperation.

Both sides praised the meeting of the subcommittee. The European side noted the progress achieved by Georgia in the discussed spheres.
