Georgian PM signs decree on interior minister’s resignation
Tbilisi, Georgia, Jan. 26
By Nana Kirtzkhalia - Trend:
Georgia's Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili granted the resignation request of the interior minister, Alexander Chikaidze, and signed a corresponding decree on this, according to a message from the PM's press service.
Chikaidze requested his resignation on January 23.
"He asked me to grant his resignation request. I'd like to say that Lekso [Alexander Chikaidze] has once again proved that he is a decent man. He did what would a decent policeman and a decent soldier do. He behaved properly so that no question remains there, as they were absurd," Garibashvili said.
