Georgia imported 875.5 tons of cheese and cottage cheese worth $2.4 million from January through August 2021, National Statistics Office (Geostat) says, Trend reports via Georgian media.
Georgia imported 686.2 tons worth $1.77 million over the reporting period of 2020, compared to 679 tons of cheese and cottage cheese worth $1.76 million before the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019.

Ukraine - 241 tons (above $638,000)
Russia - 237 tons ($420,000)
Turkey - 98 tons (above $279,000)
Armenia - 93 tons (above $224,000)
Germany - 53.3 tons (above $223,900)
France - 33.8 tons (above $220,800)
Belarus - 40.9 tons (above $117,000)
Denmark - 16.8 tons (above $81,000)
Meanwhile, Georgia exported $21,000 worth of cheese and cottage cheese from January through August 2021, compared to $8,000 worth of the product over the reporting period of 2020.
