BAKU. Azerbaijan. August 25. The American automobile startup Nilu27 presented its first development - a mid-engine gasoline supercar NILU, Trend reports
The founder of the company and the author of the appearance of its brainchild is the famous Russian automobile designer Alexander Selipanov, who was responsible for the style of Bugatti, Koenigsegg and Genesis cars at different times.
The ideology of NILU is described simply - a minimum of electronics. That is why the supercar is equipped with an atmospheric V12 with a volume of 6.5 liters. This internal combustion engine was specially developed by the New Zealand engineering company Hartley Engines on Selipanov's order. The power is declared as "over 1000 hp". The engine is aggregated with a 7-speed manual transmission of the Italian brand CIMA. The rear wheels are the leading ones.
The exterior of Nilu27 is characterized by deliberate carelessness and exposed structural elements. This style should evoke associations with airplanes or military equipment. The monocoque and outer panels are molded from carbon fiber, both subframes are assembled from aluminum tubes. The front wheels have a landing diameter of 20 inches, the rear ones - 21. Carbon-ceramic brakes are developed by Brembo.
Nilu27 plans to build 69 of these supercars, with 54 of them being road-legal, the remaining 15 - in a purely track modification.
