The 'We are all Khaled Said' Facebook page has urged voters to wear black clothes while casting their ballot today as an ode to the martyrs of the revolution Al Ahram reported

The page, which is named after Khaled Said who was brutally beaten to death by two policemen in June 2010, said black clothes would be a "symbolic message" that the revolution's martyrs are not forgotten and that without them today's historic elections would not be happening.

"Throughout Egypt we will wear black clothes to vote in elections that are the first fruit of post-revolution democracy...We want the elections to be a bright spot in Egypt's history," the page administrator wrote. "We will vote because it is the first step in the transfer of power from the military which we believe should quickly return to its barracks. We will not forget our martyrs."
