A seven-year-old boy died on Wednesday morning from injuries suffered in an Israeli airstrike two days earlier, medics said Maan reproted

Baraka Al-Mughrabi was seriously wounded in an explosion that killed 15-year-old schoolboy Nayif Shaaban Qarmout in the northern Gaza Strip on Monday, medical spokesman Adham Abu Salmiya said.

While medical officials described the attack as an airstrike, the Israeli army denied it had carried out any military activity at this location.

The group of teens were playing near Saad school north of Gaza City, and the blast injured five others, including al-Mughrabi, witnesses said.

Israeli airstrikes killed 25 Palestinians and wounded more than 80 since Friday, while Gaza militants fired a volley of rockets into Israel, wounding eight Israelis, until the sides agreed an Egypt-brokered truce early Tuesday.

An Israeli airstrike on north Gaza early Wednesday, as eight rockets from Gaza hit south Israel, cast in uncertainty on whether the deal to cease hostilities would hold.
