Roadside bomb kills Italian soldier in Afghanistan

A soldier of NATO-led peacekeeping force ISAF (International Security Assistance Force) was killed and three others got wounded in a roadside bomb in Farah province west of Afghanistan Tuesday, provincial governor Ruhul Amin Amin said.
  
"The incident took place in Shiwan village of Balablock district at 01:30 p.m. today when the Italian soldiers were on patrol as a result one soldier was killed and three others sustained injuries," Amin told Xinhua.
  
An armored personnel carrier was damaged in the blast, he added.
  
Three Italian soldiers got wounded in early last June when they came under Taliban attacks.
  
More than 2,500 Italian troops mostly in west Afghanistan have been serving with the framework of NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) to help stabilize security in the post- Taliban country.
