A blast took place in the Lice district in Turkish Diyarbekir Province during passage of a military convoy, the Sabah newspaper reported on Friday.
According to preliminary data, as a result of the explosion two soldiers were killed and several others were injured.
According to preliminary data, the attack was committed by members of the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
The conflict between Turkey and the PKK has lasted for over 25 years, claiming over 40,000 lives. The PKK is recognised as a terrorist organisation by both the UN and the EU.
