Turkey increases exports of agriculture products by almost 30%

During the eight months of 2019, exports of agriculture products from Turkey increased by 28.85 percent compared to January-August 2018, amounting to $80.422 billion, a source in the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly told Trend.

In August 2019, the export of agriculture products from Turkey decreased by 2.86 percent, compared to the same month of 2018, amounting to $8.649 billion.

“In August 2019, the export of grain, legumes, oilseeds and food products decreased by 5.70 percent, compared to August 2018, amounting to $272.045 million,” the report said.

The export of fresh food and vegetables in August 2019 also decreased by 5.01 percent compared to the same month of 2018, amounting to $621.266 million.

“In August 2019, export of dried fruits from Turkey decreased by 23.83 percent compared to August 2018, amounting to $407.443 million,” said the report. “Tobacco export from Turkey in August decreased by 23.53 percent compared to the same month last year, amounting to $299.545 million.”
