Volume of ethanol handled via Turkish ports from Jan. through Apr. 2020 disclosed

Total volume of ethanol handled via the ports of Turkey from January through April 2020 made up 17,492 tons, Turkey’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.

In the reporting period, 7,682 tons of ethanol were handled via ports of Turkey by ships flying the Turkish flag, and 9,810 tons - by ships flying the flags of other countries.

From January through April 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment through the ports of Turkey amounted to more than 123.4 million tons.

Meanwhile, the volume of cargo handled by ships flying the Turkish flag surpassed 9.6 million tons.

The volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying the flags of their countries amounted to 4.9 million tons, while the cargo transshipment by ships flying the flags of other countries stood at 108.8 million tons from January through April 2020.

Over the reporting period, over 24.9 million tons of cargo were transited through the ports of Turkey.

The volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports amounted to more than 28.8 million tons in April 2020.

In the reporting month, the volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying the flags of their countries amounted to 2.2 million tons, while cargo transshipment by ships flying the flags of other countries stood at 25.6 million tons.

According to the ministry, 6.5 million tons of cargo was transported in transit through the ports of Turkey in March 2020.
