Data on cargo movement through Turkey's Gemlik port revealed

The volume of cargo transshipment via Turkey’s Gemlik port, Bursa Province amounted to 2.01 million tons from January through February 2021, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend on April 15.

According to the ministry, in the reporting period, 194,575 tons of cargo were handled through the Gemlik port by ships flying the Turkish flag, and 1.8 million tons - by ships flying the flags of other countries.

Meanwhile, 19,678 tons of cargo were transited through the port of Gemlik, the ministry said.

The volume of cargo transshipment through the ports of Turkey amounted to 58.3 million tons from January through February 2021.

Over the reporting period, ships flying the Turkish flag shipped 4.8 million tons of goods, ships flying the flags of other countries – 53.6 million tons.

During the reporting period, 11.9 million tons of cargo were transited through the ports of Turkey.

The volume of cargo shipment through the Turkish ports amounted to 29.2 million tons in February 2021.

Cargo transshipment via the ports of Turkey by ships flying their countries’ flags amounted to 2.2 million tons, and by ships flying the flags of other countries – 26.9 million tons.

Some 5.8 million tons of goods were transited through the Turkish ports in February 2021.
