Turkey faced decline in cement exports to Georgia

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Sept. 8

Trend:

Cement exports from Turkey to Georgia decreased by 7.6 percent ($31.9 million) from January through August 2021, compared to the same period last year, Trend reports via the Turkish Ministry of Trade.

Cement exports from Turkey to Georgia in August decreased by 19.4 percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to $5.2 million.

Turkey in total increased cement exports by 25.8 percent compared to the same period last year - to $3 billion.

In August, Turkey exported cement for $421.3 million, which is 32.3 percent higher than in the same month of 2020.

Over the last 12 months (August 2020 - August 2021), Turkish cement exports amounted to $4.3 billion.
