As many as 1,948 ships were received at the Turkish port of Samsun from January through October 2021, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend.
Of the ships received at the port, 364 were flying the Turkish flag, 1,584 - the flags of other countries, the ministry said.
The ministry reports that Turkish ports received 4,407 ships in September 2021.
Out of the total number of ships received at the Turkish ports, 1,281 were flying the flag of Turkey, 3,126 - the flags of other countries.
"The ports of Turkey received 38,304 ships in the first 10 months of 2021, including 11,562 ships that were flying the flag of Turkey. Some 26,742 ships were flying the flags of other countries," the ministry added.
