Türkiye increases number of companies with Chinese capital

BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 25. Türkiye has 128 companies with Chinese capital registered in 2023, which is 28 more than in 2022, Trend reports, referring to the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB).

Meanwhile, during the reporting period, along with the increase in the number of registered Chinese companies, their total capital has also increased.

"While the total capital of Chinese companies registered in Turkey amounted to 237.5 million Turkish Liras ($7.8 million) during the reporting period, the figure was 135.3 million Turkish Liras ($4.4 million) in 2022," TOBB reported.

However, the majority of Chinese companies were registered in Istanbul (88) in 2023.

"The total capital of Chinese companies registered in Istanbul amounted to 181.4 million Turkish Liras ($5.9 million)," TOBB reported.

According to the information, 1 construction company, 48 in wholesale and retail trade, and 5 tourism companies with Chinese capital were registered in Türkiye 2023, while the rest of the companies operate in other sectors of the economy.
