Türkiye sees growth in number of passenger arrivals at Trabzon Int'l Airport in March 2024

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 15. In March 2024, the number of passengers arriving at the Turkish Trabzon International Airport increased by 11 percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to 614,456 people, Trend reports via the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure of Türkiye.

In March 2024, the airport's passenger turnover for domestic flights increased by 13 percent compared to the same period in 2023 and amounted to 581,538 people, while international passenger turnover decreased by 12 percent and amounted to 32,918 people.

The airport's cargo turnover in March 2024 was 4,985 tons, an increase of 8 percent compared to the same period in 2023. In addition, in March 2024, the airport's cargo turnover for domestic flights increased by 11 percent compared to the same period in 2023 and amounted to 4,332 tons, while for international flights, it decreased by 12 percent compared to the same period and amounted to 653 tons.

According to the information, the number of flights from the airport in March 2024 increased by one percent compared to March 2023 and amounted to 4,571. Meanwhile, the number of flights performed on domestic flights increased by three percent to 4,034, and on international flights, it decreased by 13 percent and amounted to 537.

In March this year, passenger traffic at all airports in Türkiye amounted to 43.86 million people, while cargo turnover amounted to 1.1 million tons.

In 2023, passenger traffic at all airports in Türkiye amounted to 214 million people, and cargo turnover reached 4.2 million tons.
