Energy minister of Georgia and Turkey to discuss electricity transmission line

Georgian Energy Minister Alexander Khetaguri left for Ankara on Sunday for talks with his Turkish counterpart, a source at the Energy Ministry of Georgia told Trend.

Khetaguri and the chairman of the Georgian State Electricity System Company Sulkhan Zumburidze will meet with the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey Taner Yıldız.

The sides will discuss the construction of 400\500-kilovolt transmission line Akhaltsikhe-Borchha, which will connect the Georgian and Turkish energy systems. The parties will also discuss the terms of trade and export of electricity through the transmission lines.
